I would suggest you go with nano instead of pico. Both are very fine editors.

Nano is normally included as a RPM on dedis.

Login to your server via SSH as root

Type: rpm -q pine
It should say: package pine is not installed

Download the package for your OS version:

wget http://dag.wieers.com/packages/pine/pine-4.63-1.1.fc1.rf.i386.rpm - Fedora C1
wget http://dag.wieers.com/packages/pine/pine-4.63-1.1.fc2.rf.i386.rpm - Fedora C2
wget http://dag.wieers.com/packages/pine/pine-4.63-1.1.fc3.rf.i386.rpm - Fedora C3

Install the package:

rpm -Uvh pine-4.63-1.1.fc3.rf.i386.rpm (Fedora C3)

vi editor is a much more powerful editor.

nano / pico are the same thing.

nano and file path and see what you get, it should work.

Pico and Nano are the same and Nano should come pre-installed with Fedora. If not you should be able to install is using yum:

yum install nano

It is a good idea to learn how to use vi. almost any system that you use will be able to run a version of it, and it has a lot of nice features. At most it will take about 30 minutes to be able to use it as easily as windows notepad, and soon you will find it your favorite editor.

The only system that I have used where I had to use a different editor was an as/400, but it would have felt sorta funny editing rpg in anything besides seu anyway . . . lol
