Hey, about make mpeg files into a CD that can be play with DVD or VCD player

I got some avi files and I coverted them into mpeg format.

on my computer, those mpeg format videos work well.

I got the Roxio Easy CD creator 5 platinum, it has a function that can make mpeg videos into the CD that can be played with the DVD or VCD players.

It shows "VCD does not support" when i used that function try to make a vcd.

Is there any other way to make those mpeg files be able to play with DVD or VCD player?

Try Nero. It supports VCD creation as well.

Nero's over run doesn't work.

the mpg file is 716MB, it can't be written on a 700MB CD

You can try to reencode the mpeg using a lower bit rate which will result in worse quality but lower file size. You will also get a "non-standard" VCD so your DVD player might not like it.
...Or you can break your avi into 2 mpegs and put them on 2 VCDs!

Why not just cut out the last 16 megs? It's probably the credits anyway...
