From what I heard it was caused by a GERM player laughing at the ARG team which made them mad hence the fight :p.

No, the question is why did the FA hire Eriksson?

I blame it all on him! It doesn't matter anyway, once the game went to penalties everyone in England knew in the back of their minds that England will lose. England and penalties just don't go togethor.

You wanna blame somebody, you blame Ricardo. Every England shot was placed where they wanted it to go, and Ricardo stopped all of them, except for Hargreaves...and he even got a piece of that.

You can trash England's performance all you want. But they lost a game without two of their top players, spent the entire tournament missing either Rooney, Owen, or at some stages Beckham, and still made it to the quarterfinals. They definitely struggled at times, but so did Brazil, Germany, etc, etc...England got the job done to this point, and they just finally tapped out.
 
What a day! After stating that only Argentina and Brazil had the ability to win the World Cup I am absolutely shocked. I must hand it to France though, they certainly came out and gave Brazil a full on game, there was no fear in their eyes. Zidane was back to his best and Henry has stepped up a gear, France are definitely contenders for this World Cup.
