Dreamhost

Check out webhostingtalk.com for a ton of user reviews on them.

You're roughly getting 1gb of diskpace and 45gb of bandwidth for a buck. If you do try them, let us know how it goes a few months in. :)

I will buy account from them soon. I want just to know your exprience about dreamhost. There are some good reviews at webhostingjury

What do ya think?

UNLIMITED domains hosted
UNLIMITED subdomains
20 GB Disk, 1 TB Transfer

only $22.40/year with coupons discount!

That's a great deal, but I'll do you one better... ;)

It has come to my attention that the 777 promotion code still works for dreamhost. What that means for you is... $9.24 USD for the first year of service at dreamhost on the L1 plan (I believe that is the one you're gunning for).

Anyhow, if you just want to try out dreamhost I urge your to try this promotion code 777 as it will save you quite a bit of monies.

Thanks a lot mate.

It really depends on your needs. If you are only going to use a very small portion of that space and bandwidth then you probably aren't going to have any issues (but then you have to ask yourself why you are happy to be on a potentially slow server when you could get better value elsewhere). If you are going to try and use it all, that's when you start to run into problems with heavy oversellers. Bandwidth costs money, there is no other way to look at it. :)

if you plan on using all of the bandwidth theyre not the best choice. if you are only getting a few hundred hits a day you should be fine. ive been with them for a little over a year now.

No problem...

Anyhow, about all the speculations about the bandwidth and such about dreamhost I have a friend and he seems happy with it. The speeds at dreamhost are always good aswell, I download at ~350 kb/s steady. Anyhow, in my experience as a surfer, I like it, and I haven't heard any complaints from my friend. I do highly doubt however he uses a tonne of bandwidth or system resources, so I can say that for the casual user it's a great host, but for a power user, you'd be better off with a better host.

Then again, I don't use it myself so I can't say for certain. Well, with the 9.24 deal, you can't go wrong. ;) I mean even if it so happens that it doesnt' work out for you, you can always transfer the domain, and well, that way its like you bought a somewhat expensive domain.

Provided the alternative they use has all the features you need it shouldn't be an issue. However, if you decide to switch hosts in the future it is much quicker and easier to switch between hosts that use the same control panel. :)

Dream and you will wake up in about 2 weeks or max a month if you decide to use all your allocated resources.

How about for this year, can any please vouch if this hosting provider provides good after sales service?
