Burst.Net = Pain in the ---!

Hi All.

Just sharing my loving feelings towards BurstNet.

So, last night at around 1 - 2 am, I ordered a new VPS from BurstNet (I am an existing customer with a currently active service and no negative billing history) the order failed at the fraud verification (It didn't fail when I got my first VPS with them) I actually never got the phone call.

Now I login today, and see that my existing service with BurstNet has been suspended! I have sent them a total of 2 tickets, and had no response (First ticket was last night roughly about 9 - 10 hours ago)

Anyone else having issues with BurstNet ?

Ha ha ha ha!!! What a mess! Unfortunately, that's pretty normal. Never had issues with fraud, but tickets do take a long time.

It should also be noted that the Billing Department (or anyone beside Support, for that matter) are only open Monday - Friday, 9-5 or so East Coast time. If you write after that, you aren't going to get a reply, and that includes the fraud stuff.

That's kinda lame.

I found out that my existing server was suspended due to intense resource usage, I found in my programming that there was a CPU Flood causing the CPU usage to blow up to crazy amounts by flooding the Main Thread. This has been resolved (1 line of code..... Thread.Sleep(100); >.<) Oh Well!

As soon as it's back up and running, I'll be able to get the software up and running again and all will be good with the world.

When I started my webhosting adventure about 4 years ago, I used Burst.
But they where a nightmare! The shut down compleet servers because of little things, like they found a proxy site and shut down a whole dedicated server with 70 paying clients on it for 4 days! And their support is always slow and poor unless you pick up the phone. For me that was like €2.00 per minute.

Yeah I've already picked out my Dedicated Server provider. They will allow me to have a private network for my servers to be networked together (and public internet connections to each server) ^_^ All 1 Gbps.

No way am I going to have dedicated servers with BurstNet.

I remember the old burst days they suspended my stuff and I moved away and have never been happier!

1 Year ago I move from burstnet to own server, their billing support is crap but tech support is acceptable.

Burstnet is a giant host and most of the time deal with budget hosting solutions.
Much depends on your luck to submit ticket to the right department.

My advice is never host your mission critical content to a budget hosting provider. pay a little bit more for a peaceful night.

I havent had any issue with them, I just contact my reseller account specialist, they reply back withing an hour or two.
