i hav a question about and i only knew about apache just awhile ago... if you a web server in you computer but you turned off the internet connection for a while to give my computer a rest, probably my files would just disappear in the net for a moment.. right? i dunno abt this that's why im asking ppl in this forum abt the subject matter...

Yeah if ur computer is off internet is off , then PeePz can't access it :-/

and when u say "turn off your internet connection" do u mean ur on dial up ?

Not recommened on dialup will be slow and u can't run a webserver 24/7 on Dialup ... actually it will be hard on Cable/DSL if you host on a your computer you use , its best to get a Computer JUST for hosting to maximize uptime

anyway, dad would kill me if i got apache and messed up our only computer... i have cable... maybe soon not now....

if you are new to apache its not suggested to try it out. I would suggest getting a free host, or asking for one and hosgting your files tehre.

its safe ... but make sure u don't let peepz use ur PHP if u ain't configured it .. cos peepz will take advantage of a none configured PHP Server (well who wouldnt ?)

That's it? At my old job, I usually download somewhere between 1MB/s to a possible 10MB/s.

great m8, this ain't no compition, the person is just saying there downloading it !

on my 56k i download at 5.5kb/sec .. beat that
