adsense behind a protected port

hi,

here is a big question i can't seem to find an answer to. i write software which operates behind a protected port. port 2086. i also offer a very generous free trial and have been thinking adsensing it. im worried that google can't track it correctly, will deem me as black hat or however you want to word it. i am worried they will delist me, block me or not pay me.

this item to me would be nice to have but im not willing to stake my rankings on it.

i would love to hear from others who have some insight into this exact implimentation of adwords.

thanks,
kevin

2086, cpanel?
Or are you saying that your default http port is 2086, in which case, yes it should track that, as long as its set as default. Im a bit confused, can you clarify?

His software is a WHM plug-in, so it runs on the WHM port.

To answer the OP's question - Yes, you can. But, the Adsense crawler needs access to crawl the pages for keywords etc. That can be setup from your Google Adsense account under Adsense Setup --> Site Authentication. In your case I am not sure how that would work, as I presume the free trials you offer will be installed on your customers' servers, so you would not have access to the passwords.
