Usually, I don't care about ads on my webhost, but I am building a website for my choir, and I'm now in need of a host without ads. I've tried Brinkster but never received my confirmation email, tried Liquid2k, but the pages take 24 hours to update and I haven't got long to build the site so I need them to update sooner. I have also tried Fateback, but I need to be able to edit files in the filemanager rather than on my hard drive and then uploading, and they don't allow you to do that.
Are there ANY other hosts with no ads I can use?

Ehhhh....isn't that the one with the...umm..."naughty" 404s? There are going to be children of ten years old looking at this website.
 
If you're asking for no ads, you can't be that picky. Just pray that Web1000 doesn't delete your site! Other than that, it's either your own fault for improperly coding your page links or the surfer's fault for mistyping your URL. Also, you could just get a "fake URL" from somewhere else (such as http://www.shorturl.com/ ), so that if your websurfers mistype a URL, they'll mistype your "ShortURL" URL and not your web1000 URL. Also, you should be using URL forwarding anyway if you're using free hosting, or else you're setting yourself up to be exploited by your host.
 
LOL - that would be soo funny if one of them stumbles into a 404.
They would be like "Oh now I know what its for!"

Have you contacted brinkster and told them that you haven't received the confirmation email? Email the support team and they might help you.

Don't risk using Websamba

I think he means that every 24 hours you need to update your site at Liquid2k

That's not true either. I haven't updated my site in about 3 months, and they haven't done anything. Of course, it's finished, and it was only for a project. :)
