January 31

Special thanks to our new advertiser, InternetTrash.
Fixed some errors in the design for the main page. Apparently the three forms and all the tables messed up the page totally in the Ant Fresco web browser. I won't show you the screen shot Neil Skirrow sent me... hehe ;). Thanks Neil for mentioning this to me.

January 28

We have a new poll at the main page of FreeWebspace.Net. The old voting area will be closed down since it took too much administration work. The new poll will be semi-weekly and the final results will be presented on the mailing list.
I have today opened up the former 'secret' Advertising Info page, so anyone who would like to advertise here please take a look at what we offer. And please support our kind sponsors by visiting their sites. This week I would like to thank our new advertisers, the webhosts Addr and SiteHost4U.

Added Jado (game sites, thanks Brian Cosgrove), BretagneNet (french, thanks Le Roy Sebastien), NetServices (thanks Mack Sutherland) and MicroWorld (thanks everybody). Updated info for a number of Russian free hosts: Chat, Halyava, Leon, Viaduk and Windoms (thanks Dmitry). Removed Raduga (they are now commercial, thanks Dmitry).

January 19

Added Website2u (thanks mw). Replaced YouveGotMail with AcmeCity (thanks everybody). Removed Myfreedomain, since they apparently do not accept any new accounts (thanks everybody).
New Ad Revenue message board is now open.

January 10

Added Freewebsite (thanks Kendall and Giancarlo) 321Website (thanks solace), and LoveResources (thanks D Brown). Dove-ent now only offer 10 MB instead of 20 MB due to abuse by users (thanks Giancarlo). Tricity now offer 20 MB, up from 2.5 MB (thanks Giancarlo).

The new Paid Hosting message board is now open.

January 9

Added SitePalace (thanks MrFree), Psybercore (thanks Jason), FriendFactory (thanks Kendall) and Digi-Links (thanks MrFree). Removed HE (apparently not accepting new sites, thanks robin).

Finally updated the 'allow ad banners' info for many of the free hosts thanks to the list posted at the message board by Agum a month ago. I've only put free hosts that clearly state that they do allow you to have ad banners on your site in this category. I'm sure there are still a few errors, so please send me updates if you have more info...

January 8

More than 400.000 visits to FreeWebspace.Net today since the premiere April 16 1998! The first mailing list message of 1999 was sent out a few hours ago. Join the mailing list to receive updates about free webspace providers. Removed weekend.ru (they are down due to financial crisis in Russia, thanks Konstantin Lapshin).
